Harris Corporation to Present Technical Paper at 2010 IBC Conference as Part of “Sounding out the Future of Audio” Session

WINNERSH, England, August 4, 2010 — Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information technology company, announces that John Mailhot, director of product architecture, infrastructure and networking for Harris Broadcast Communications, will present a technical paper at the IBC2010 Conference, taking place in Amsterdam, Netherlands, from September 9-14. 
Titled “Issues and Pitfalls Regarding the Treatment of Pre-Compressed Audio Signals in Video Processing and Encoding Equipment”, the paper will be presented on Friday, September 10, from 8:00-9:15 a.m.  The paper will be presented as part of the “Sounding out the Future of Audio” session, which is designed to give broadcasters a platform to debate the hottest developments in the area of sound.  During the session, a panel of audio experts will discuss the latest technologies, including signal processing for optimum monitoring of surround sound on headphones, and address the question of setting the loudness of programmes relative to trailers and advertisements.
