Russia’s Channel One uses Elemental systems for Sochi Olympics

O Channel One ο μεγαλύτερος ραδιοτηλεοπτικός φορέας της Ρωσίας, έχει επιλέξει την Elemental Live systems για το streaming στους  χειμερινούς Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες του 2014  που θα λάβουν χώρα τον επόμενο μήνα στο Σότσι. Το σύστημα  θα επεξεργάζεται εννέα κανάλια του προγραμματισμού των Ολυμπιακών  Αγώνων για την παράδοση του βίντεο πάνω από IP δίκτυα σε πολλαπλές συσκευές.
Channel One is Russia’s primary content distributor of the Games. Broadcasting across Russia and the CIS, it offers programming free of charge to an estimated 250 million viewers around the clock, 365 days a year. During the Games, solutions from Elemental will stream Channel One live and time-shifted TV content in 12 Adobe HDS H.264 profiles to set-top box, PC, iPhone, Android, tablet and smart TV devices.

The system will be delivered by Russian IT supplier Open Technologies, and will process nine channels of Olympics programming for delivery of video over IP networks to multiple devices.
